The Shimano Dura-Ace PD-R9300 is the most advanced road pedal Shimano has ever made. It was developed alongside the S-PHYRE RC910 shoe and the new SPD-SLR cleat system. It has Shimano’s lowest stack height ever at 12.5 mm, which puts your foot closer to the axle for a more stable, locked-in feel and more direct power transfer from the first pedal stroke to the final sprint.
The larger contact platform and wider engagement zone make clipping in quick and intuitive. Larger-diameter bearings make the pedal up to 11% more torsionally rigid than the Ultegra PD-R8200, according to Shimano. A heat-treated axle and new bearing seats cut rotational resistance by up to 53% compared with the Ultegra version. The carbon fiber-reinforced body keeps the weight at about 227 g per pair.
